The magic of Traditional and ethnic wear

The wedding season is knocking at the door. Every bride out there is thinking of wearing the perfect sari for her marriage. Marriage is a holy tie between two people who want to spend the rest of their lives with each other. On this special day, a bride is dressed from head to toe with beautiful couture that compliments both herself and also the day. A Banarasi Sari is the bride’s wedding partner. Indian brides prefer wearing a Banarasi saree on their wedding as a sign of royalty and beauty.

Banarasi saree is considered as one of the most historical weaves because it existed since the times of monarchs. In this period, the sarees were weaved with golden and silver threads hence making it a statement of royalty.

AshaGautam was established in 1998 by Asha Gupta who has a very close relationship with Indian ethnic arts and crafts. The brand launched their small collection at first and due to its outstanding response; the label marked its journey.

From there the brand never looked back and became a destination of the wide and beautiful range of Banarasi sarees and lehengas. They take care of the Indian traditional element in their weaves and if noticed carefully, the weaves are made with the most sophisticated techniques.
Asha Gupta along with her son Gautam Gupta, an alumnus of NIFT Delhi and a terrific designer built a very high-end brand called Asha Gautam. The price may seem expensive but then exclusivity has its own cost.
They successfully collaborated with weavers from Banaras to create beautiful patterns which not only stuck to the roots of Indian tradition but also fused with modern day style statements. After a successful collaboration with Banaras, they also went to places like kuttch, patan, uppada and paithani.

The brand supports the crafts of India and revival of them through their brand and what they offer, They made sure the essence of the brand is not lost in the name of creativity.
